Versions & compatibility

Pick a version with GSC-Version: YYYY-MM-DD. Without the header the latest version, 2026-10-01 today, is used, and it moves when a new version appears: send the header to stay on the version you were built against. Supported: 2026-10-01. An unknown date is 400 unsupported_version. Every response of an operation carries the version it was produced for in GSC-Version.

Within a version, responses may gain new fields and enums in responses may gain new values: ignore fields you do not know and handle an unknown enum value. The order of keys in a JSON object is not guaranteed.
